Recommended Usage: Ideal for achieving high-quality waterproofing on roofing projects, this Polyester Resin Base Coat is designed to be compatible with GRP fibreglass matting. It provides reliable performance for both general fibreglass applications and repair work.
Preparation: Prior to application, ensure your timber deck is thoroughly dry, clean, and free of any protruding nails or screws. Additional resin is necessary for priming Plywood or HDF surfaces, with a suggested usage of 0.3kg per square meter.
Polyester Resin 20kg Distinctive Characteristics: Crafted for roller application, the GRP Roofing base coat boasts excellent leveling properties and sag resistance on inclined surfaces. Once cured, the Roof Resin becomes tack-free and watertight, preparing the surface for subsequent topcoat application.
Polyester Resin 20kg Application Tips: Apply the resin on days with moderate temperatures, avoiding direct sunlight. Add a maximum of 3% ResiRoof Catalyst by volume. For optimal results, apply approximately 1.25kg per m2 using a ResiRoof medium pile roller for main roof areas with 450g matting, or 1.5kg for 600g matting. Use a brush for edges and corners, following our ResiRoof user application guides for detailed instructions.
Polyester Resin 20kg Performance Optimization: Store the resin at around 17 degrees Celsius for optimal performance. Apply it to a dry, dust-free surface, combining it with fibreglass stranded or woven matting.
